Regular Season Statistics with the Franchise
Stats in bold signifies team leader.
Weir struggled to break into the NHL while he was part of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization. He would finally get to do so
with the Edmonton Oilers after he jumped to the WHA for the league's final season and the Oilers were one of the four teams to
merge into the NHL.

The case of the Weir trade was an unusual one. It wasn't anything Weir did. He had a good stint while he was with the Rockies.
The unusual circumstances was involving Ed Cooper. I'll explain more about it on his page, but the end result was that Weir was
returned to the Oilers in the end.

The Oilers would trade him to the Detroit Red Wings shortly thereafter. He played his final NHL season there; he finished is
career in the minors, first retiring in 1985 after playing that season with the IHL's Milwaukee Admirals, then started playing in
the OHA Senior's League for 2 seasons after a year off.
Entry Draft: 1972 Second Round Pick (28th overall) by the
California Golden Seals
