Suzor largely played in the minors in his short career, and even then he moved around to quite a few teams. I'm not sure if that's
because he was struggling to find his place or if he was that much in demand.
And he would have been in demand because of his offensive game. He had put up good numbers in the minors, and his 19 points
with the Rockies in 77-78 was 4th on the team for defensemen.
I think his lack of discipline was an issue as to why he didn't stay in the bigs longer, but that's just me. For all I know, he could
have also been a tough player in his own end, too. (I found nothing that says he was, by the way.)
He went out with a bang, though. In his last full season of playing, he scored 20 goals and 53 points with the Grand Rapids Owls
of the IHL.
He would retire after playing 8 games with Toledo in 80-81.
Entry Draft: 1976 First Round Pick (17th overall) by the Philadelphia Flyers
