Snell would not make his major league debut until he played for the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 73-74 season. I would chalk
that up as lack of room on any roster; he was a solid 2-way role player and a work horse from what I've read about him.
By the time he joined the Scouts, he was already 28 years old, and as history would prove, already in the later stages of his
career. He would retire after the 75-76 season.
Most of his pro career was spent playing with the AHL's Hershey Bears, where he had some good years for them and won the
Calder Cup in 1969.
