Manitobans are a tough breed. Simpson is no exception.
He was never able to stay with the Devils on a permanent basis, though. Most of his stint was spent with Albany. He did score
43 points with the River Rats in 94-95, the most he would get in any pro season, along with 268 PIMs.
After the trade to the 'Hawks, he continued to bounce around, both in the NHL and the minors, for Tampa Bay, St. Louis,
Montreal, Nashville, and Pittsburgh, his last NHL team.
He played for Rockford of the UHL during the lockout, and was last seen playing for Chekhov Vityaz over in Russia as recent
as 2007.
Entry Draft: 1989 Fourth Round Pick (72nd overall) by the Philadelphia Flyers
