Shulmistra's lone game against the Florida Panthers, a team he would also later play for, on New Year's Day of 98. Losing in
OT was not a good way to ring in the New Year.
He played a lot of games in the AHL, the IHL, half a season in the ECHL, and 3 seasons in the German League, last playing for
the Mannheim Eagles in 03-04.
He currently lives and coaches goalies down in North Carolina.
