It was a LONG time before Salomonsson was even drafted by anyone in the NHL. I think that's because he wasn't noticed
when he played for MoDo in his home country. He finally did while he was a member of the Djurgardens team.
By then, though, he was already approaching 30. He didn't play in North America that long. In his only season in the Devils'
organization, he split time between New Jersey and Albany. He would do the same thing after the Capitals claimed him off of
waivers.
So after the 02-03 season, he decided to return to Sweden and MoDo, where he has been playing since and has been playing
solid.
