I find this strange. Rasmussen was drafted seventh overall, and he was a career fourth liner in the NHL.

Well, that's how it works sometimes, I guess.

On the other hand, he was a dependable hand to have. He didn't miss many games in his 3 seasons with the Devils, and was
capable of an offensive contribution once in a while. He did have 2 seasons at the U. of Minnesota of at least 15 goals.

He wouldn't resign during the 07 offseason. He accepted a minor league deal in January and finished the season in Lowell.

He played in Finland in 08-09. That's the last record of him playing anywhere, though.
