Yeah, as I started preparation to write this page earlier, I noticed that he was a right handed catcher (Chico Resch calls it the
"funny hand") and did a double take. That's a rarity for Devils goalies. In fact, the only other right-handed catching goalie they've
had was Mike McKenna. By strange coincidence, Middlebrook did coach McKenna when he was living in St. Louis.
