Regular Season Statistics with the Franchise
Stats in bold signifies team leader.
A silver medalist at the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo, McElmury had been largely playing in minors (as both Minnesota
North Stars property and Kings property) when the Scouts signed him on. He was good in his own zone, and saw time on the
power play unit.

He played a full season with the Scouts, then saw more time split between the NHL and  the AHL in subsequent seasons. He
had retired in 1978 after finishing the season with the Hampton Gulls.

Besides the Olympics, McElmury had represented the US twice at Worlds. (1971 and 1977)
