Marshall had a lot of offensive skill coming out of juniors, but had worked on his overall game over the years and become a
good physical two-way player. That's the type of player the Devils have thrived with over the years, so they got him for the
stretch run in 03.
During the playoffs that year, he became best known for scoring the triple overtime game winner against the Tampa Bay
Lightning to clinch the series in 5 games.
He ended up getting waived before the start of the 06-07 season, but after clearing them, he was sent to Lowell for the season.
And that's where he would finish his career.
He is still with the Devils organization, though, in post-retirement, becoming an active member of the Alumni Association.
