Lemelin found regular work in the minors in his career. He was a solid player in front of his net, using all of the size he had to its
fullest.
Like I said, he was a regular in the minors. He did get to see a few games on the NHL level. All the games he saw were as either
a Scout or a Rockie.
He was a part of 2 Calder Cup winners: with the Springfield Indians in 1975, and with the Hershey Bears in 1980. The Bears
were the regular season champs in 1981 when he decided to retire after the season was over.
He sat out for 2 years before trying a comeback with the Muskegon Mohawks of the IHL. He played 56 games with them and
scored 16 points before retiring for good.
