During his career, Korn was largely used as a defenseman, but played some forward at times, especially while he was with the
Devils. Wherever he played, though, he racked up the penalty minutes.
His attitude was always a concern over the years. He tended to alienate his teammates with it. I'm not sure if it was attitude or
playing his role during the 88-89 seasons, where he was suspended for 3 games for going after Bruins coach Terry O'Reilly after
the game, and 1 more for getting a third game misconduct of the season.
He was traded to the Calgary Flames at the deadline in '90. Nothing came of that, really. The Flames chose to release him after
the season, and he chose to retire.
He returned to Minnesota and got involved in youth hockey in Minnetonka after retirement. He would become the hockey
development director there in 2002.
