Hankinson was a part-timer with the Devils, having spent most of his tenure with Utica and Albany, putting on decent showings
while in the minors.
However, he was never able to crack the Devils lineup on a permanent basis.
Actually, after finishing the 95 season with Tampa, he would never play another NHL game. After 3 more seasons in the minors,
the last being with the Orlando Solar Bears of the IHL, he retired.
I don't know what he did since then or is doing now. I DO know that he is currently living in Hopkins, Minnesota. Amazing
what you can find out on Google.
... After further research, I think I found something. He helps run the Hankinson Hockey Development Camp in Edina with
brothers Peter and Casey.
He also became a sports agent, currently working out of Octagon Hockey based in Minnesota. I remember that Paul Martin is
one of his clients, or at least was at one time.
