Guolla was playing near everyday when he was with the Thrashers, but he was signed more as an addition for the River Rats.
He was starting to show the production that he showed when he first played in the AHL, first with the PEI Senators, then with
the Kentucky Thoroughblades, at the time the farm team of the San Jose Sharks.
Besides the 12 games in New Jersey, he also played 22 games with the River Rats in 02-03. There, he scored 28 points. He
was on a good pace that year. The only reason he didn't play more games was a back injury that caused him not to play again
till late in the 03-04 season.
So he tried his luck in Europe when he became a free agent again, and he's been successful across the Atlantic, as well. He
played for Hannover in the German Elite League, 2 seasons with HIFK Helsinki in the Finnish League, Innsbruck EV in the
Austrian League, and currently, he's back in the Finnish League with Tappara Tampere.
