When Gron was over in North America, he largely spent his time playing in the minors, having 3 pretty good seasons with the
Albany River Rats. Largely because he did come over to play junior hockey in the WHL.

He saw a better future back in Europe at the end of the 01-02 season, so he decided to sign in the Czech League, where he
would play a season and a half before moving to the Slovak League, having played with MsHK SKP Zilina, and currently with
HC Kosice.
