Giallonardo became a pro a little early after the team he was on at Union College in Schenectady quit in protest of their coach
getting fired. With that, he played in the IHL for the 77-78 season and was with the Philadelphia Firebirds of the AHL at the
time the Rockies signed him.
He would finish the season there before joining the organization officially for 79-80. He saw spot duty in Denver in his time while
being a regular in Fort Worth's lineup for the balance of his time.
Speaking of balance, he did provide a balance of puck skill and physicality. He had seasons of 18 and 25 assists and of 100+
PIMs twice with the Texans.
