The common concern about small players back when Comeau played was "Is he able to withstand the rigors of the NHL game?"
Well, he was able to get in an 8-year career in the NHL. Even more remarkable is that players like him also saw games in the
WHA. He never did.
While with the Atlanta Flames, he was a solid secondary offensive contributor. When he came to the Rockies, he was used
more as a checker and a PK player. He was slowly phased out during the 79-80 season and inevitably finished the season in
Fort Worth. While there, though, in playing 57 games, he was almost a point-a-game player.
He would put up 35 points the following season with the Texans to finish his playing career off.
