It took a few years for Boschman to establish his game, but he became a dependable two-way player when the Jets got him.
Which was probably what got Lou Lamoriello's attention, especially his defensive play.
...Yeah, ESPECIALLY his defensive play, as his offensive numbers had gone down by the time the Devils got him. Not that it
was a big deal with who was ahead of him at center in Kirk Muller and Patrik Sundstrom.
He also contributed in the leadership side of things. You'll see the A on his jersey in the picture.
The Sens' pick of him in the expansion draft would lead to him playing his last NHL season with them. And he played as the
team's first captain.
When his contract was bought out, he retired. He came out of retirement to play in England for the 94-95 season.
In recent years, he got involved in Hockey Ministries International. (Yes, that means he's a Christian.) He also got involved in
the Sens' Alumni Association.
