Bicek played well in his homeland before he was drafted by the Devils. He rose his stock quite a bit when he came to play for
the River Rats. He really adapted to the North American game.
He made his New Jersey debut finally in 00-01, and saw spot duty while still seeing games with the Rats. He did get to play in
44 games in 02-03, as well as 5 playoff games, enough to get his name on the Stanley Cup that year.
When the lockout came about, he returned to Kosice to play, but didn't come back to North America at its conclusion. He
opted to play in the Swedish Elite League instead. He also played two seasons in Finland, sandwiching a season in Switzerland,
then back to the SEL.
Currently, he's playing for Kladno in the Czech League.
Entry Draft: 1997 Fifth Round Pick (131st overall) by the New Jersey Devils
