Berry was an excellent passer with a decent scoring touch and an ability to be plugged in on the penalty kill when necessary. I
personally think he was on Ray Miron's radar pre-draft because he was going to school at the U. of Denver.
He spent a season in the WHA before joining the Rockies via reclaimation prior to the WHA-NHL merger. He got a decent
look, but things weren't exactly panning out. Besides the season and a half in Denver, he also saw a season and a half in the
CHL before deciding to play in Germany.
Save one season in Switzerland, he finished his career in Germany. (3 seasons with Mannheim, 7 with Cologne.)
Entry Draft: 1977 Third Round Pick (38th overall) by the Colorado Rockies
