Looking at his stats, I would consider Berglund a late bloomer in his development when he was playing in his homeland. What
finally bloomed was an excellent skater with the scoring touch to match.
He came on in a huge way when he joined the River Rats, scoring 47 points in 60 games with them. It also earned him 15 games
on the NHL level, impressing with his performance in getting 9 points in that time.
The following season also saw split time between New Jersey and Albany. However, he took a step back when he suffered a
hip injury against the Flyers and missed a lot of games.
The 10 games he played for the Panthers to finish the season would be the last NHL games he would play. He returned to
Sweden during the lockout, but instead of coming back to North America at its conclusion, he signed to play in the Swiss
League. At last update, he was playing with SC Bern.
